What is the Sleep and Breathing Monitor?
The SafeToSleep™ Sleep and Breathing Monitor is the most advanced baby monitoring system ever developed. Simply place your baby on the SleepMat™, connect to your smartphone (or included Parent Unit), and begin monitoring the movement, breathing, and activity of your baby. The patent-pending BreathOptics™ technology detects every inhale and exhale of your sleeping baby and generates a breath wave, which is streamed to your smartphone as it happens.

With the SafeToSleep monitor you will always know at a glance that your baby is breathing safely. If your baby encounters an irregular breathing event, the SafeToSleep monitor will alarm, providing you with the precious time you need to tend to your baby. The SafeToSleep system has been clinically validated to be as accurate as the breathing monitors used in hospitals.

The SafeToSleep monitor also generates reports on your baby’s sleep time and sleep quality. Imagine knowing exactly how much sleep your baby is getting each day and night. Now, imagine being able to determine the quality of your baby’s sleep. With the SafeToSleep monitor you can! This type of information has never before been available and will change the way you understand and care for your baby.

How does the Sleep and Breathing Monitor work?
You simply place your baby on the SleepMat™ and turn it on. Launch the free SafeToSleep smartphone application and connect to the SleepMat (or included Parent Unit for users without a smartphone). SleepLog™
SleepLog is the technology that provides sleep reports that detail your baby’s sleep time and sleep quality. SleepLog will store 30 days of sleep information that can help you detect changes in your baby’s sleep pattern that may signify infection, fever, or pain. Safety

Is the Sleep and Breathing Monitor safe?

My baby is healthy. Why do I need to monitor my baby’s breathing?
First, because the technology has finally arrived that allows you to monitor your baby’s breathing!

Second, every parent knows that it is not possible to watch their babies 24×7, as even the healthiest newborn will sleep about 16 hours each day. Most parents want to use every tool at their disposal to ensure their babies are sleeping safely. The SafeToSleep™ monitor is a tool to support sleep safety, as the system will alarm you if it senses an irregular breathing even that may need your attention.

Third, sleep is an indicator of the overall health and wellbeing of your baby. Until now, there has never been a technology available with the capability to track how long your baby has slept, or how well your baby has slept. Changes in sleep patterns can indicate sickness, fever, and even pain in infants. The SleepLog™ feature tracks total sleep time and sleep quality, so you’ll know to the minute how much your baby is sleeping. Even more important, you’ll know how well your baby is sleeping!

The SafeToSleep monitor connects to your smartphone or Parent Unit using secure digital Bluetooth wireless technology, with crystal clear reception, and absence of interference, static, crosstalk, or poor reception.
